As Christopher Reeves Church of England Primary is a Voluntary Aided school, the admissions policy is set by the Governing Board.

We admit up to 15 pupils into the Reception class.  The Reception class size remains at 15 for the child's Reception year.  When they move into Year 1, classes are year group mixed as follows:

Year 1 and Year 2 (Willow Class)

Year 3 and Year 4 (Juniper Class)

Year 5 and Year 6 (Oak Class)

Reception

The Reception application process is undertaken by Bedford Borough Council.  Parents need to apply online at www.bedford.gov.uk/admissions

Children are normally admitted to school at the start of or during the reception year, that is the school year in which they become 5.

As St Lawrence Church of England Primary is a Voluntary Aided school, the admissions policy is set by the Governing Board.

We admit up to 30 pupils into the Reception class.  Many of our classes have less than 30 pupils which means there is a higher pupil to teacher ratio.

There are two separate application processes for entry into the Nursery and entry into the Main School Reception class.

Nursery

The Nursery application process is organised by the school and parents needs to apply direct to the school on the school's own nursery application form.   Children are admitted termly in September, January and April according to their date of birth.  The nursery unit offers part time places (15 hours per week) and full time (30 hours per wee) for children from 3 years of age.

Reception

The Reception application process is undertaken by Bedford Borough Council.  Parents need to apply online at www.bedford.gov.uk/admissions

Children are normally admitted to school at the start of or during the reception year, that is the school year in which they become 5.
